In 1994, J S D A Inc. was awarded for their leading edge future officing concepts which included alternative officing and environmental materials, designing showcase
offices for exhibit, built full scale in Los Angeles and Boston. Further, Ms. Stevenor Dale has been instrumental in contributing to the LEED standard for commercial interiors. J S D A Inc. served as the
first sustainable design consultant to the City of Los Angeles.
A collection of projects built on the philosophy of sustainable
concepts, sustainable materials, and renewable spaces representing healthy interior environments. These environments are designed with the following criteria in mind:
- Indoor air quality
- Alternatives energies
- Sustainability and life cycle analysis
- Recycling/reuse
- Landfill impact.
The most crucial issue of the environmental practice is the opportunity to create new bio-technologies based on sustainable
practices. Currently landfills are less available, demolition is an expensive option, no longer politically correct, and not in our best interests.
J S D A 's awareness and sensitivity towards this issue is an integral part of its design philosophy. Research indicates a significant lower long term cost for
environments built with renewable spaces and products.
