Phase III: Design Development

Following the schematic design presentation, the designer refines the design concept, remaining faithful to the aesthetic and functional requirements for the space while incorporating the client's comments. This phase also focuses on detailing and refining ideas from the schematic design phase. Construction standards and the selection of furnishings and materials are finalized. Drafted plans, elevation sketches and mockups may be created to help visualize the final design decisions.
